This MIP Fund Accounting training module gives you a practical introduction to the system so you can move around confidently, set up your workspace, and understand what the core transaction types are used for. It is aimed at getting you comfortable with the software quickly, because most efficiency gains in MIP come from knowing where things live and setting the system up to match how you actually work.
You will start with navigation fundamentals, including how to access MIP on your computer and where to use the Help and Support resources when something does not behave the way you expect. The training walks through the Navigator toolbar so you understand what each main tab controls and how those areas connect. It also covers customizing your homepage and Process Manager so the screens and shortcuts you use most often are easier to reach, which reduces routine clicking and hunting.
The module then moves into workstation customization. You will learn where key settings live and what changes are available within the main file folder tabs, along with what those settings affect day to day. This is less about aesthetics and more about reducing friction, especially for users who process transactions regularly or need the interface to surface the information they check most often.
Finally, the training introduces the main transaction types in MIP Fund Accounting. Understanding transaction types early helps you choose the right workflow for what you are trying to record and prevents data from landing in the wrong place, which is where reporting and reconciliation issues usually start.
This segment is a solid starting point for new users and a useful reset for anyone who inherited an existing setup and wants a clearer grasp of how MIP Fund Accounting is organized.
